The purpose of this Blog is to gain a greater understanding of the concept and potential of blogging as a teaching and learning tool within an F.E. context, and I will be using this space to collect, collate, and reflect upon ideas and knowledge gained to support my MSc studies in Technology Enhanced Learning.
Design issues such as clarity, simplicity, user-friendliness and accessibility are of paramount importance because of the specific nature of my teaching work.

    1. Hi,
Yes, equality, diversity and inclusivity are vital in my teaching role. I deliver various E2L courses to a diverse range of international students, which is really interesting, but it can be a real challenge to produce appropriate and accessible resources for them which also encourage autonomous learning, especially at Entry level. VLEs seem to work for me, but I’d like to learn more about TEL which is why I’m doing the course.

  1. Very true, and I’m so glad the unions have identifed this as an issue of considerable concern. However, designing resources is my passion and I spend an obscene amount of time producing them, so I only have myself to blame really.
